The 3 on 3 basketball tournament was a highlight of the weekend’s Crazy Days activities. Teams traveled from as far west as Billings, east to Dickinson and north to Lambert. The tournament was a twoday event with grade 3-6 students on Friday and 7-12 grade students on Saturday. The games started with a game of rock, paper, scissors to decide who won first possession. Games had a running clock for 20 minutes, with the highest score winning at the end of the clock or the first team to 21 points winning. Ties would be broken by adding one minute overtime.

There were five teams in the 3rd and 4th grade division and five teams in the 5th and 6th grade boys. The winners of the 3rd and 4th graders was Bar 52 from Wibaux with Keaton Schelp, Cruz Peoples, Mahkai Peoples, Cruz Dykins and Walker Zinda. The 5th and 6th boy’s winner were the Spartans with Miles O’Connor, Lincoln Lyson and Braxtyn Packineau.

The 7th and 8th grade boys had five teams, the 7th and 8th grade girls had three teams, and the high school boys had ten teams. Winners of the 7th and 8th grade boys were from Plevna with Jordan Paul, Samuel May and Kaeden Oberlander. The 7th and 8th grade girls were from Bowman with Cloe Haar, Camryn Mosbrucker, Bostin Blankenbaker and Reese Janikowski. The high school boys winning team consisted of Aiden Thompson, Bohden Duffield and Bishop Duffield also from Bowman.

The refs helping during the weekend included: Cameron MacKay, Trish Barth, Vaughn Zenko, Riley Schultz and Bryant O’Connor.

While their older siblings were busy playing basketball, the younger siblings were able to play mini golf at the vacant lot next to Prairie Rose. The mini golf set was rented, and the proceeds they earned are going back into the program. The staff hopes to purchase their very own mini golf course, with the idea that many more mini golf adventures will be in the future!

The annual Kids’ Bike Parade started at 9:30 a.m. from the Russell’s parking lot into the Reynolds parking lot. The Police Department had popsicles waiting for the kids’ that rode their bike through the parade. While the weekend was warm, Italian Sodas were served, and the Bank of Baker had Root Beer Floats to keep the crowd cool!
